For the last nine months, 22 emerging outdoor industry leaders have worked hard—growing personally, professionally and learning about our industry, from the issues facing us tomorrow to the opportunities we have today. Now, they have completed five capstone projects to tackle some of our biggest challenges like the future of retail, engaging consumers in advocacy and finding a second life for gear. All five projects will be presented at Outdoor Retailer to a panel of industry executives. Over the three days of Rendezvous, you will hear about all of the capstone projects and have the opportunity to hear how we could all impact our brands and businesses for the better.
Kicking off is a project that connects groups advocating for access to and conservation of land with the people taking advantage of their efforts. We all recognize that the final step of informing outdoor enthusiasts about the efforts that have created the recreation opportunities they enjoy is often the hardest. This solution is to facilitate a connection by creating a simple technology solution for collecting relevant conservation and access advocacy information that can then be shared with outdoor enthusiasts in retail environments across the country.
